Fiona, who has been running Jewellery Making Classes for some time now is all set for her next Workshop … here’s what she has to say …

Come and join me at my next 6 week jewellery making course in Rathgar this February. Each week you will create and bring home a number of pieces of jewellery including necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings and you will learn a variety of techniques using lots of different materials. You’ll be amazed at what you can achieve in 2 hours and how therapeutic jewellery making is! The classes are small with plenty of opportunity for one-to-one tuition. Beginners and improvers are welcome. The price for the 6 week course is €140 and that includes all materials, tools and equipment.’

A really great idea for those who have a special occasion coming up. For those who have never partook in a ‘class’ before. For those who want to test out the class before they join Fiona on her next Jewellery Workshop or for those of you who can be a little like myself at times and get easily distracted by … Oh look a squirrel!

MAKE YOUR OWN Jewellery with Dink Design – My Thoughts

An alternative to coffee and cake or cocktails and olives (those can come later of course) – a crafty and creative way to spend a Saturday afternoon … and for €25 you can design and create your very own necklace, bracelet and earring set to go with your outfit! All materials and tools are proved by Fiona and classes are small so lots of time for one-to-one tuition … I love it … and so much so I’m hoping to pop by on Saturday February 21st myself … that is if this Mommy-to-be doesn’t pop herself!

For those of you not interested in learning how to make jewellery yourself but know a jewellery lover, just think of this … ‘Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime’ … well that works with pretty beads too!
