Spring Ingredients – Use Asparagus While Preparing Pasta

Fresh asparagus is only available from February to June, so make sure you look for it during these months. You can use asparagus in various types of dishes when it comes to enhancing their flavour, and pasta is one among them. Asparagus is an antioxidant springtime food which contains vitamin C and K, and it tastes its best when roasted. Apart from using asparagus, you need ingredients like cream, finely chopped pieces of chicken, ginger, garlic, and salt to prepare pasta.

When it comes to using it in pasta, the first thing that you have to do is take a pan and stir-fry it over a medium heat. Meanwhile, boil the pasta and then pour it into a strainer to remove the water. Make sure that you keep one cup of pasta water aside to use later on. Once you are done with it, you can heat some vegetable oil in a skillet and then add finely chopped ginger and garlic into it. Add cream, pasta water and finely chopped pieces of cooked chicken into the skillet. After that add the boiled pasta and let it cook. Once your pasta is ready you can add the stir-fried asparagus to it.
