Radisson Blu, St. Helen’s Hotel, Dublin
The Radisson Blu St. Helen’s can be found off the Stillorgan Road in Dublin. It’s a Four Star Luxury Hotel whose estate is steeped in history. Patrick and I stayed here for his birthday a few years ago, before The Life of Stuff existed so it was really lovely to return again and have the opportunity to share with you through photos our return visit.
The beautiful gardens to the front of the hotel are just a taster for what lies behind the hotel. Subtle hints of the Italian flair that exists inside the hotel in the shape of Talavera Restaurant are evident on arrival … be sure to have a read of our brilliant experience A Night in the Kitchen at Talavera, Radisson Blu St. Helen’s, Dublin.
Grab a seat by the open fire or get drawn across the entrance hall to the expansive and perfectly manicured gardens of the Radisson Blu St. Helen’s.
Log on to free wireless internet while enjoying complimentary tea or coffee or in our case sip on prosecco and nibble on Baci di Dama, traditional Italian pastries … it’s the little touches that made our stay here memorable.
Find your preferred seat and enjoy the views of the estate garden or depending on your room, Dublin Bay.
Take a walk in, on, around and through the lush estate gardens. Beautiful any time of year in any weather, offering plenty of photo opportunities.
Inside, explore what the hotel has to offer with fabulously high ceilinged function rooms complete with luxurious and flowing curtains that open out to refreshing garden views. Perfect for summer parties and BBQ’s.
Gothic colours and chandeliers grace the walls and ceiling of some of the most unusual turret shaped conference rooms of the hotel, giving a castle-feel to this mid 1700’s estate … if only the walls could talk!
Lounge in the lounge with a drink, book or with your partner in crime and enjoy the spectacular decor and architecture of this special place.
It’s obvious why couples choose this special place for their ‘Big Day’ celebrations, why some families first choice for Christmas Day is to wake up here, why companies hold their meetings in the boardrooms and function rooms and why Patrick and I will definitely be returning … and it won’t be third time lucky because each time we have stayed here we have thoroughly enjoyed our time … from our check-in experience to our good night’s sleep to our top notch breakfast the next morning.
