Australia
90% of Australians live on the coast. And there’s a good reason why. It’s world-famous for its endless idyllic beaches and clear oceans. Why not live like the locals and give surfing a go? Start with some lessons, though, as a surfing injury could leave you visiting the dentist with an avoidable chipped tooth. Thankfully the team at FY smile in Sydney could fix you up!

To get a real taste of everything Australia has to offer, Sydney is a great place to start. With beaches aplenty, a picture-perfect harbour and thriving nightlife, there’s no room for boredom. Don’t forget to check out Sydney Opera House for a frame-worthy photo opportunity.

France
France may seem too close to home for some people, but that’s the beauty of it! It’s easy to get the Eurostar from London, and you’ll end up in the capital of romance; Paris. Soak up Parisian culture with lunch in its historic streets and getting a taste of local delicacies.

It’s the perfect place for creatives, too, with world-class galleries and museums scattered all over. While visiting the Louvre is an obvious choice, don’t miss the Pompidou. It houses all of the best modern and contemporary art in a stunning building.

Greece
The birthplace of democracy is the next stop on our travel bucket list. Greece has so much to offer. Visit Athens to take in its historic culture and breathtaking ruins. Or opt for luxury and relaxation in Corfu. Greece does tend to be quite touristy, though. So if you’re looking to get away from the crowds, head to one of the lesser-known islands. You’ll get all of the culture without the people.

Make sure you indulge in Mediterranean cuisine while you’re there. Greek people know how to rustle up a feast and will leave you wanting more.

South Africa
South Africa is a jewel and has something for everyone. And if you’re an animal lover, it’s the perfect pick. Head to the Masai Mara for world-class safaris and stunning scenery. If city life is more your thing, Cape Town is the place to be and has consistently been picked as one of the top places to visit in the world.

South Africa offers varied landscapes, natural beauty and a diverse culture just waiting for you to explore. The food on offer is enough to tantalise any taste bud, so make sure to embrace local offerings.
Austria
If you’ve been searching for something a little more off the beaten path, Austria is the place for you. It’s less touristy than it’s neighbour Switzerland and has just as much natural beauty on offer. Vienna is the perfect place to start for newbies. It’ll give you medieval architecture and plenty of places to enjoy a coffee whilst you take in your fantastical surroundings.

If you’re a film buff, pop over to Salzberg, where the Sound of Music was filmed. Renting a bike is an excellent idea. You can take in the enchanting scenery on offer whilst getting in some exercise (plus, exercise whilst on holiday doesn’t feel like exercise at all). From Salzberg, you can take a day trip to the Krimml Falls, Europes highest waterfalls. It’s a bit of a trek, but you’ll be rewarded when you make it to the top.
