Designers and Makers in Kildare
The Island of Ireland is renowned for its culture, from hospitality and its food and drink excellence, to music and The Arts. We’re also an island of creatives. We can’t help ourselves – making and doing at every opportunity. Some of us take it to the next level, sharing our passion with those outside of our circle of friends and family. And when we do take that leap, and share, the warmth of our passion brings happiness to all those who appreciate it.
The County of Kildare is brimming with creative designers and makers. And to celebrate them I’ve compiled ’15 Fantastic Designers and Makers in Kildare’ you should know about. In fact, I’m proud to say that my hometown of Athy could possibly be the core of such creativeness, and looking through this list you’ll see why. Perhaps one day, we’ll have own Irish Design & Craft Centre overlooking the River Barrow … anyone a dab hand with business plans?
