McGargles – Trader Tommy’s Apple Cider
With the weather being so good lately it seems only fitting that this week’s “Bevvy of the Week” is a cider. There’s nothing better on a hot Summer’s day than a cold cider and this week’s recommendation is Mcgargles Trader Tommy’s apple Cider.
This is the one of the latest offering’s from the Rye River Brewery in Kildare and it’s landed in perfect time for the Summer. Rye River don’t actually produce this cider in Ireland, it’s produced in Bingen in Germany and shipped to Ireland where it is bottled but this is explained better by trader Tommy himself (you can check out what he’s up to on the Mcgargles website).
The Cider is light and refreshing. There’s a nice amount of sweetness and flavour, and there’s a pleasant after-taste. All in all this is a perfect cider for these sunny days (long may they last).
Mcgargles, Trader Tommy’s Apple cider is 4.5% abv and will cost about €3 per 500ml bottle.
Enjoy, Sláinte,
Patrick
