Indomita ‘Duette’ Premium Cabernet Sauvignon – Carmenère
This week I would like to recommend a beautiful red wine from the Maipo Valley in Chile called Indomita ‘Duette’ Premium Cabernet Sauvignon – Carmenère.
This wine is produced from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère grape variety. Unlike old world countries, Chile doesn’t really have a classification or grade system. You will see terms like “Reserve”, “Grand Reserve” or “Premium” on the label of better wines. This usually indicates that the wine in the bottle has been produced using superior grapes from the vineyard or estate.
This pairing of Cab-Sauv and Carmenère works very well together. The Carmenère grape brings a finesse and a spicy character to the big structured Cab, resulting in a most enjoyable wine indeed.
You can pick up a bottle of Indomita Duette Cabernet Sauvignon-Carmenère in all good Off Licences and a bottle will set you back around €17.
Enjoy, Sláinte,
Patrick
