Trish’s Honey Products
Honey Bee’s are magical little insects, and without them this world would be a very bleak place. Not because we’d miss their little fuzzy golden-yellow striped bodies. But because without them and their cross pollination skills many of our plant life would die off, including crops.
About Trish
Trish O’Neill is a third generation Bee Keeper based in Waterford, Ireland. As a child Trish grew up with the regular sweet smell of honey of her mother’s cakes and homemade healing balms. And the thankfully irregular bitter-sweet sting of getting too close to her honey providers.
As a woman not only has Trish kept the Bee Keeping tradition alive, but she has also brought to life her mother’s recipes for natural honey infused balms, and added to them to make them her own.
About Trish’s Honey Products
Trish’s Honey Products are made from natural and organic ingredients. They don’t contain any preservatives, artificial colourants, parabens, mineral oils or perfumes. Her products are, and I quote from Trish ‘cruelty free, earth positive, organic, hand-crafted, nutrient rich, sustainable, highly concentrated and completely effective.’
Thanks to Trish I recently got the opportunity to try out /pamper myself with a selection of Trish’s Honey Products and they get the thumbs up from me. The products arrived at my door lovingly wrapped and ready for use.
Trish’s Honey Products is a small Irish business and for me there is nothing better than shopping local and supporting Irish handmade crafts.
This Natural and Organic Skincare Range is certified Organic by the IOFGA (Irish Organic Farmers and Grower’s Association). It has been fully tested by a qualified chemist, complies with EU regulations, is not tested on animals and is the proud owner of a Guaranteed Irish symbol.
Sure what’s not to love about this beauty fix? …
Rosehip Facial Balm
Made with Organic Shea Butter, Organic Rosehip Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Rice Bran Oil, Pure Honey from Trish’s happy beehive and Vitamin E, this balm is perfect for getting the balance back. I applied right before bed, rubbing a little between my fingers and worked my way up from my neck. It smells clean, fresh and natural and left my skin feeling soft and smooth by morning.
Sweet Almond Balm
This balm is so pure it’s perfect for those with sensitive skin who want to rehydrate their skin. It’s packed full of goodies; Organic Shea Butter, Organic Sweet Almond Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Pure Honey from Trish’s happy beehive and Vitamin E. The best way to use it is straight after having a bath or shower. Trish recommends you rub some balm between your hands, rubbing and massaging into your skin when it’s still warm.
Natural Hand Cream
Made with Organic Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Pure Beeswax and Vitamin E, you really only need the smallest amount of this product to nourish your hands. I preferred to use this product overnight because it does have an oily consistency. However with saying that once I learnt not to apply too much, it dried in quickly leaving my hands feeling softer.
Organic Lip Balm
Well here’s a little multi-tasker if ever there was one. Perfect for moisturising your lips. And for preparing them to be irresistibly kissable but Trish also advises that it’s pure enough to be used on kids, on cuts and grazes. As well as on cuticles and that by adding some tea tree oil to the balm – a healing balm for cold sores! Fantastic and pocket-sized too!
Beeswax Candle
These gorgeous little candles are also designed and handmade by Trish. And like many of Trish’s Honey Products have multiple uses. The obvious use is as a light provider, these pure beeswax candles can burn for up to five hours. They are great home decor conversation pieces. Perfect for burning while taking a bath. And it has been said that they can help clear the air for those suffering from hay fever or asthma.
Trish has lots of information on her website which you’ll find links to below however the consistent advise on all her organic products is to ‘Bee-careful’ and keep out her natural skincare range out of direct sunlight or anywhere that’s very warm.
